AUSTIN, Texas -- March 12, 2020
BrewStubs® has joined Capital Factory's Startup in Residence program to leverage support and resources in the Texas startup ecosystem as it goes to market with its unique e-commerce platform for the craft beverage industry. Working with Capital Factory provides BrewStubs access to a strong network of like-minded founders, mentors and investors who have built, scaled and sold startups themselves, as well as co-working space, event space, media production facilities, and other exclusive benefits.
BrewStubs serves the growing craft beer and beverage industry by offering consumers a centralized source to discover local craft beverages, reserve limited releases in advance (no more standing in long lines for that new IPA!), and gift beverages to friends, all with cashless payments and rewards.
For breweries and event producers, in addition to a better customer experience, BrewStubs provides additional revenue, robust patron data, product pre-sales, event ticketing, conversion of social traffic directly into sales, and exposure to new patrons via BrewStubs marketing.
BrewStubs is riding the wave of the still-booming craft beer and beverage market, with over 8,000 craft breweries and over $27 billion in annual craft beer sales in the U.S. That rapid growth, though, hasn't been matched with technology adoption.
"The industry is ripe for disruption," says founder David Sher. Sher, who has two decades of experience in guest services, box office management, and ticketing, including Live Nation and Tickets.com, started BrewStubs® to bring the digital transformation he experienced in the live entertainment vertical to the craft beverage industry. "People are still standing in line for craft beer limited releases, often only to find out that they're sold out. Taprooms are a great social experience, but they can be made even better with the right technology."
Sher recently relocated BrewStubs to Austin to take advantage of the city's thriving startup community and craft beer scene. "It was the right move," says Sher. "Within just the first few months after the move, we've added top notch advisors, developed some key partnerships, augmented our core management team, and joined Capital Factory's Startup in Residence program. There's a reason Austin keeps being named as the best city in America for entrepreneurs. We're definitely in the right place at the right time."
